Stream Crossing Pilot

The City of Memphis and SARP10 tasked Malasri Engineering with developing a scalable and efficient Stream Crossing Assessment Program for every stream crossing within the city limits. Working with SARP10, Malasri Engineering identified and mapped approximately 3,600 potential sewer stream crossings. Through an iterative approach, Malasri Engineering developed best practices to identify, verify and assess stream crossing areas according to selected bases.

Malasri Engineering gathered, processed and managed the data for the PILOT inspection program, documenting current conditions and identifying crossings in critical condition. Malasri Engineering developed, tested and utilized a GIS collector application, along with a drone, for condition assessment. Inspection reports were developed and submitted for each stream crossing. Further, Malasri Engineering worked with the SARP10 to establish best practices for future inspections and data collection. Malasri Engineering expanded the PILOT program and continues to perform inspections for the City of Memphis.
