ORANGE MOUND STREETSCAPE
The Orange Mound streetscape project along Park Avenue was a major Accelerate Memphis initiative, transforming a 1.5-mile stretch of the corridor. The investment creates a safer, more welcoming environment for pedestrians, cyclists, and all forms of community transit. It enhances connectivity and mobility while reinforcing the Memphis 3.0 vision of vibrant, people-centered neighborhoods.
The project delivers a reconstructed Park Avenue corridor with improved multimodal connections, streetscape enhancements for cyclists and pedestrians, and upgraded bus stops with improved safety and access. Infrastructure and landscaping improvements reinforce community pride and long-term neighborhood vitality, while supporting local economic development.
